When the strings first come in the sampling isn't all too great, the melody is awesome though. Then the part with the bells is excellent, I had a Fable shiver, then the following part to the end was pretty sweet too, I just feel with better sampling this piece would have had a better effect on me, plus there was no epic ending!

I'd like to say though I loved what you did with percussion and bells and the sampling sounded really nice for those two at least. Good job!

Thanks for the review!

I know what you mean about the sampling. It's low quality orchestral VST but it's the best for what my computer is capable of handling so I make due with what I have. Actually, it's funny that you mention getting a 'Fable shiver' because that's where the influence for the percussive part there came from. Sorry about the ending, I'd had this piece sitting around for a few months and I figured it was time to wrap things up so I could only sum up a few more measures of work. I'll consider doing a follow up piece with more emphasis on the epic.

I'm agreeing with the review below this. Listen to Jeremy Soule's work. He did the music for Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Star Wars games, Warhammer, Guild wars, he is the master. If you want inspiration he's your man. You got that perfect Winter/Wilderness Ambience going on and I love it as it is, but you've definitely got the potential for loads more. Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks a lot for the review man!
Now that you mentioned Jeremy Soule also made the music for Guild Wars and Oblivion, I remember some of the ambient themes in those games were really to my liking. How awesome! I'll definitely check his work out.

So yeah, thanks again, and cheers :D

Can't help but think of Chrono Trigger. Especially with the sampling used for the brass. I loved chrono trigger and nostalgia will always bring out good things. It seems a little out of place at times, but overall I still liked it, especially with the theme you were going with in you description. I could see you postins pseudo chrono trigger music that could nab a lot of attention. Keep up the good work!

track has been fixed, and reuploaded, should be listenable any moment now if the updates are swift.

thanks for your review, check back and tell me what you think of this fixed version. :)

Liked the sound of it. Sometimes I found the percussion a little annoying though. But other than that still a pretty good piece. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it :) and thanks for the advice are useful for me ..

This is personally my favorite song from the game. I like how it was coordinated with some of the moving parts. "Stellar" Job.

Makes me think of a mix of Tommy Wiseau's, "The Room" and N64 Shadow Man.

Purdy Awesome. Only think I'd say is when the bells come in, to quiet them down bit. Otherwise I dig.

cantinera responds:

Thanks! The bells are pretty obnoxious.

I was thinking that too. Lol

I Love Crack music

I am such an addict for keygen music lol. This rocks my socks.

Brilliant

Very inspiring piece. It reminds me of when I was writing the music to my song Broken Free. I kind of was just a little.. well pissed off at the world in general haha. Lately my music has been much more chipper but this is a reminder that the pain was still there once and can just as easily come back. So what I'm trying to say is, "Super Awesome fun time job." :P

So RS

The Drums are 100% RS Sounding. I Love it. Runescape FTW. :3

I compose music as a hobby and I study math and science. My aspiration musically is to make an orchestral score for a video game, my scholarly aspirations are to develop effective models/algorithms. I am also fond of the wristwatch. Feel free to PM.
