I'd definitely say this has a movie feel to it; a trailer or for that one scene leading to the climax of the film. I didn't like as much the woodwind part of it.. if that's what it is, the synth is hard for me to follow with the other sounds lol. However overall this is a fine piece.

Supreme work.

theworldisbroken responds:

Thanks Wingo!

I didn't listen.

TBM responds:

Excellent... Everything is going according to plan...

This song felt like it took a good amount to work to finish. I imagine if you added generic dubstep to this it would be an automatic front page. Good work!

cantinera responds:

I appreciate that! I really am terrible at creating decent drums that don't overpower the theme of the song, so I usually just compensate with a really deep, pulsating bass. The downside is that it sounds excessively dark and creepy. I'd love to learn how to add a complimentary drum kit and make it 'real' dubstep someday, but until then, I guess I'll just keep making my special brand of faux-step.

Also it took FOREVER to get correct. :D

Neoclassical. I always have a hard time appreciating it. I love the classical.. and I wish it were better left alone. But that's only because of my tastes. Although, I do appreciate some neoclassical, basically most of the Final Fantasy music collection, and I can still appreciate this piece. Well done.

MrKittie responds:

Wait? So this genre is called neoclassical? I never knew there was such a genre D;
Anyways thanks for enjoying! I do make straight modern orchestral music :p, but i still tend to keep the percussion rhythmic when used!

Like i said, if you think this was good, oh man, you should hear my upcoming orchestral pieces.

Epic Stuff. I wish I could play guitar, it would definitely beef up some songs I've had in mind. All I have re crummy plugins of acoustic guitars haha. Makes me feel like I'm underwater or in a dark factory or in a dream (gamewise). Really dug the tune.

This feels very playstation/N64/SNES era. Made me feel nostalgic. Good job.

Calamaistr responds:

thanks, not meant to be that retro tho. But i admit i like some instrumentations that arent crisp.

You are right about the ending. The piece sounds nice, but I bet if you had better plugins it would sound wonderful. Good work.

Neon-Bard responds:

Agreed! New plugins would be a godsend. Thanks for the review! :)

Reminds me of playing old RPG's on my PC, N64, or PS. Gave me a good old nostalgic feeling. Excellent loop. My only beef is how the strings sound, it may be how its mixed in to the music but they sound overly synthy.

samulis responds:

It's probably the mix more than anything that is causing that odd sound.

8.7 Megs... of awesome. At times I didn't like the mix of techno but that's just because I'm a classic kind of guy, the song still rocked though. I could still appreciate the blend of new and, really old. You used a persian scale and instruments which is pretty darn Bold. Gotta' dig this song. Awesome job.

Wurfel-Waffles responds:

Thanks man.

Dig the tune, but what happened to baroque?

You can't just simply "stray" from baroque. Unless you are a quitter.

I will be monitoring you much more closely now.

Don't stray from the bray!

....oque...?

cantinera responds:

D:
I WILL GO BACK TO BAROQUE. You never really leave baroque. I'm working on a simplistic melody right now AND AM USING CHORD PROGRESSION SIMILAR TO BAROQUE.
I shall not fail you!

I compose music as a hobby and I study math and science. My aspiration musically is to make an orchestral score for a video game, my scholarly aspirations are to develop effective models/algorithms. I am also fond of the wristwatch. Feel free to PM.
