The song is only about 1 minute long, but that's good enough for a first. I decided to write a bard's ballad.  oOzeroOo was kind enough to provide me with her unique and wonderful voice. Just a few small edits here and there, but I'd say 95% complete, at least as complete as my abilities could hope to get it at the moment.

I do plan on making another ballad after this one. So hopefully if you enjoy this one you will get to have another in the foreseeable future. 

So expect to see it possibly released some time tomorrow or thursday.

I've made two new pieces and both are tied together. One was a foolish attempt to curry favor, the other the stigma left from being such an ignoramus. I feel naive with deep melancholy. Although, we learn from our mistakes and keep moving forward.   

While still an optamist at heart I can always appreciate that the worst emotions can sometimes invoke the best music. Any piece imbued with true emotion no matter their level of skill will conjure the same feelings in anyone capable of empathy.  Please feel free to listen to and enjoy them.

I'm currently in the process of making a "Big" song. As in full EWQL (non-synthesized sounds), orchestral, Cinematic/Movie/Game stylized. I've got about a minute of it done so far. It is taking a long time because I've chosen to be extra meticulous for once. I'm having this one peer reviewed along the way and I have constantly looped and listened to what I've written so far (including individual sections) so it sounds equalized and proper. One of my roommates hummed the intro, I think that's a good sign.

I want to be as professional as possible with this one and be able to present a piece that stands out and is worthy of recognition. I would love to compose the soundtrack for a video game some day, hopefully this piece will demonstrate my capability of doing so.

My birthday wish is that someone reviews my new song. That would be just swell.

Entered my Spooktacular entry; Two Spirits Meet! I am very proud of it. I hope this song gets more attention than my one from last year. I've yet to win any competitions on Newgrounds but I think I have a fighting chance this time. I'm not expecting first prize but third place would be SO satisfying. First place would be ridonkulous; Best Halloween and Birthday ever (which is the 29th).

I've put anything else I've mentioned on hold. I'm going to write a song for Spooktacular - and not only for that but just in the spirit of Halloween. I definitely have a feeling for the piece and know where I'm going with it. I have about 30 measures written up at something like 45 seconds. It will sound something like playful banter. More details when I finish and publish the song.

I'm making my first lyrical song. Very much stylized to a Fantasy/Medieval Feel. It will tell a story, one I am still in the process of making, but to of which I already know the end. Although I am somewhat capable of singing myself I would much rather a female (and an actual decent singer) to sing the part.

I would provide a pdf with notes, lyrics, and also a midi or mp3 of the melody. So if you happen to read this and think you have a voice for the part then I would love to hear it. I would send you the first stanza and you can send me back a recording. Then when it's done we can have an internet high five and bathe in the respect of our comrades.

However, if no ones sees this then I will likely post it somewhere in the collab type area. I'm hoping when someone sees the lyrics/hears the song they will be intrigued enough to do me this boon. Anyhow, hope school is going well for everyone, I had my first day of the year today. Ended up going to the wrong classroom because there was a room switch, and I missed my Numerical Analysis class, instead I sat in on a Econometrics class and decided to not leave out of pure awkwardness. I learnt little as econometrics is like an applied second year honours math/comp course.
