This is generally not my cup of tea. But I can appreciate that it is well put together. It has a nice flow to it. I'm only cutting off one star because of the abrupt ending (Include (WIP - Work in Progress maybe in the title or description).

Greenskullkid responds:

thanks

This I love.

Very fun, very lively. A clear, soothing, and calming voice.

Fives across the board.

I'd say the biggest thing missing is a leading part. I really like what you have going so far though. I am no Hip Hop expert though so I can not really go beyond my knowing the lack thereof a lead part.

As I write this I also retroactively noticed there is no real ending to this song. But since this is your first submission I would not expect perfection haha.

At any rate, still a solid work. Keep it up.

Exzentriker1 responds:

I really thank you, that you had any time to review my song. Thanks.. ^^
I produce music like 1 year and i need to learn a lot... ^^

The subtle break in the string pattern is a nice touch. Some of the best scary music IMO is when there is a clear pattern but it gets changed subtly over time. It puts you off because you were used to the initial pattern. And it's ALLLLL about being uncomfortable when you're scared. The background ambient noise is also a way to distract people of this. I'd definitely loop this outside a friend's room while he was sleeping. Awesome work.

camoshark responds:

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed!

The song starts off sounding pretty solid but then it gets fairly bland. I realize it's a loop but it needs more substance. I do not claim to be an electronic expert but I still have an ear for music and you definitely need to spice up your instruments and/or add a few more. Simple can be nice if executed properly. You did at first but then you overused it. A good start, but it needs work. Cheers

Radiationator responds:

Thanks for the feedback and tips :)
I'll be sure to take all of that into consideration if I make another version of this song.

I love the track that comes in at 0:18. It really complemented the ambient background you set up. Pretty calm song though. It feels like it wanted to pick up a lot more but it never did. But it would be rather fitting as a video game song. Solid work man!

It certainly has been done to death but this is still a good take. It's hard to review music that is the cover of a cover of a cover. The organ choice was great but sometimes it sounds really messy. You should have used that to your advantage to make the song your own and up the creep factor. Also ear piercing at times, may just be my speakers but the volume is set to 6% so it may be the sample. Anyhow, I still dug it.

D-Rock responds:

Thanks, and I understand. I had to use the not-so-great Garageband pipe organ, for I am not able to afford more professional software(s) just yet. Yes, it is ear piercing. I would definitely consider redoing this using a better pipe organ VST and mix it better.

Too long didn't read. The song has a bit of crunch to it. But it never feels completely satisfying. It's like getting a Lays chip in a bag of Kettle Cooked chips. Still good though. Some real creepshow shit.

Insanctuary responds:

Could you tell me one reason why I should follow someone's judgement with poor attentive abilities? I am willing to bet my life that you sit on your ass reading fuckall posts here and there on the internet all of the time! :)

Oh, and by the way. This song was made by default presets. Suck on that lil' joe.

This song is so crunchy. It makes me want to slam my fists in to pumpkins while having sex. Or slam my fists in to a girl while having sex with pumpkins. Either one. Jokes aside, awesome tune.

ForgottenDawn responds:

Careful, somebody might rip your idea off and make A-rated stuff for Halloween full of naughty pumpkins.

I used to always think of rain as sad, something that demanded sad music. Songs like the song of rain turned me around on that idea. Rain can be represented by a myriad of emotions. This is a good demonstration of that I think. When ever I want to immersed in a world of water though, I look to Carnival of the Animals - Aquarium. I have never felt more wet then when listening to that song (take that sexually too). Of course, the difference is, that song flows, like water, but, the pattering of the piano keys makes it sound like raindrops hitting a body of water at the same time too. I think the best comparison of that piece to yours is the emotional range. Please if you have not listened to it, listen to it now, you will thank me later.

I compose music as a hobby and I study math and science. My aspiration musically is to make an orchestral score for a video game, my scholarly aspirations are to develop effective models/algorithms. I am also fond of the wristwatch. Feel free to PM.
